I would just like to express my utter contempt for GW's release date being so close to finals week. It's going to make me want to play instead of study

Anyone else feel this way?

I'm not filled with "contempt" quite yet but the GW release falls six days before my first (of four) AP Tests this year.

once the game is released, you can play whenever you want. you will not be obligated to play your "money's worth" of time since there is no monthly fee.

Thats why you should do what I do. Play the game all you want, then with about 1+ hours till the test(depending on how hard the class is) start studying, and hope for the best. It has worked for me so far.

I have a final on the 29th!!! Arg sux. Also i won't have internet access fromt he 30th til the 5th b/c i have to move out ( college dorm) and my parents live in the stone age of no internet access. I am thinking about going to internet cafe which is Hilarious b/c basically it will be p2p GW. LOL.

Nope..my studying days are long gone..I'm well and truly in the rat race, and enjoying it..you poor unfortunate souls !

GW comes out just between my finals and starting my new classes (I take evening courses). Not much time in between.

However, If I am patient to play, I can enjoy GW on my new computer which will play the game 10x better than the system I currently have.

the last Guildwars beta landed EXACTLY on my finals week, i still got to play some but it was a pain

I for one can attest to that! Sometimes being in the rat race is worse than finals though. College was easy (only when it was doing what I liked)! Being married and dragging in the rat race makes things a bit more difficult!

Don't get me wrong... I am cwazy about my wife! But now my life has two important things in it... wife vs. GW! Tough one there.

Work and real life takes serious dedication... so I will put plenty of time into GW and a ton of time into my alternate reality... my so-called LIFE!

There you have it. A day, two or even a few beyond that! How simple life was in college! I get two days of play (27th and 28th) and then work 4 days straight! Lets hear some complaining now!

Haha... So true. I'm going to be trying to rip myself away from my computer once GW comes out.

Me: "yes yes, I know but--"
GW: "Play me! You know you want to! Screw finals!"
Chemistry Book: "Yes but your fail!"
Me: "Must.. Try.. To... Study"
GW: "Loooook! You're only level 19! How can you study when you're level 19?!"
Me: "Nooo! Must get to level 20!"
Chemistry Book: "noo! You must get to college!"
Me: "But... But... I don't have a full build yet! And I haven't finished all the missions!"

Don't worry, I managed to play a lot of games during my finals when I was in University. It's just a matter of pacing yourself. Personally I found a 2:1 ratio was good. For every hour you play, study for two. Therefor if you study for a couple of hours you canplay for one. Though it didn't help the fact I had a T1 connection at my office at the University - Man talk about speed

I have DSL so am better now
